Carreer Goals:
SOR Team selection is made based on the previous years RPA ranking with total
spots to be determined by the SOR Board of Directors and pro rated as to total
men and women athletes included on the RPA rankings. Special consideration may
be given for unusual circumstances (such as injury) at the discretion of the SOR
Board of Directors after consultation with the coaches and officials.
The RPA ranking is determined by using four qualifying regional events scheduled
within the competitive season and open to all athletes. The athlete's top three
scores of four (or more) will be counted toward the total net RPA for ranking
purposes. In the event that one event is cancelled the top two of three will be
counted. In the event that two events are cancelled the two events will be counted
with no drop of lowest scores.
RPA points are calculated by: first place receives 1000 points and remaining
positions will receive a percentage of 1000 points based on the athlete's score divided by the winning score (score/winning score x 1000 = rpa points awarded).
